正商国际大厦位于郑州综合交通枢纽东部核心区，毗邻郑州东站及长途汽车站，往西可达郑州老城区，交通便利；地块北侧为七里河景观带，南侧为东部新城绿色景观轴，视线通透。项目定位为高端办公楼及企业总部，然而，在规划区块中，其所处位置并不突出。因此，如何凸显建筑形象、如何最大化地利用景观资源是设计的重点和难点。
Zensun International Building is situated in the eastern core area of the comprehensive transportation hub of Zhengzhou, adjacent to Zhengzhou East Railway Station and the long-distance bus station. It connects to the old town of Zhengzhou in the west; with Qilihe landscape belt in the north and the green landscape axis of the eastern New Town in the south, it enjoys a clear south-north line of sight. The project is positioned as a high-end office building and corporate headquarters, however, its location in the planned area is not as much prominent. How to highlight the building’s image and make the best of the landscape resources has been the focus and the challenge of this project from the beginning.

作为集团总部大楼，设计打造“企业城市名片”与“城市共享空间”的整体形象。建筑功能包括总部办公、租赁办公、高级公寓和酒店。另外，底层划分出一定比例的商业功能。
This headquarters building is designed as a corporate name card as well as a shared space in the city. It includes corporate offices, rental offices, high-end condominiums and hotels. A proportion of the first floor space is assigned to commercial use.
在狭长的梯形基地中，设计充分利用了南向最长边，使得景观资源最大化。同时，将办公集中在超高层塔楼中，公寓和酒店功能设置于高层板楼，分区明确。
In the long, narrow, trapezoidal shaped site, the longest side in the south is fully capitalized to make the best of the landscape resources. The two composing parts — the super high-rise tower and the high-rise slab building — have a clear division in terms of functions: the former accommodates the offices, while the latter includes condos and hotels.

建筑体量以谦和的姿态融入环境，简洁、纯粹却又极富象征意义，突出正商之门、郑东之门、正气之门、振兴之门的设计理念。一条通透的空中花园走廊横贯150米超高层塔楼与99米高层板楼，自然形成“正商之门”的空间意象，创造了一个独特建筑形象的同时，也承载了企业总部特有的展示、交流和共享的场所，空间媒介的产生，使人与人之间获得了最大程度的关联。连廊总跨度36.9米，采用钢结构桁架设计，使得空中连廊的下边梁几乎消隐，最大的简化建筑立面语言。
The building stands modestly in its surroundings. Its form is simple, pure but highly symbolic; it is the gate to Zensun, but also a gate to the city, a gate of righteousness and revitalization for this city in central China. The 150-meter tall tower and the 99-meter tall slab building are connected by a transparent sky garden corridor, naturally establishing the spatial image of “gate to Zensun”. More importantly than a distinctive architectural image, it is also a place of demonstration, communication and sharing, like a corporate headquarters should be. The corridor acts as a spatial medium that stimulates human connections. With a total span of 36.9 meters, the corridor uses steel trusses, which makes the lower beam almost invisible, simplifying the facade vocabulary to the minimum.

建筑的整体立面设计挺拔而纯粹，展现了优雅含蓄、理性克制、尊贵大气的气质。两栋塔楼的立面被简洁干净的横纵的元素切分，以不同形式的百叶设计和单元式的幕墙系统，形成干净利落的整体视觉效果与近人尺度的精致细腻的细节。4M悬挑的雨蓬提示了办公入口，入口门斗通过与外立面近乎统一的设计，实现视觉上的“消隐”。
The overall facade design of the building is straight and pure, showing a temperament of dignified elegance and rational restraint. The facades of the two towers are divided by clean horizontal and vertical elements. With different forms of shutter design and unit curtain wall systems, the design creates a clean overall visual effect on the facade and exquisite details at human scale. The 4-meter long cantilevered canopy hints the entrance to the office building; the porch is visually "hidden" thanks to a nearly unified design with the facade.
