麒麟岛规划展示中心是济宁高新区双创产业园项目的首开区，前期用作产业园的规划成果展示和招商，后期作为城市展厅，和周边的公共空间一起为城市提供一个富有生机和情趣的水岸生活场所。
Kylin Island Planning Exhibition Center is the first phase of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Industrial Park of Jining High-tech District, which will be used for planning exhibition and investment promotion of the industrial park in early stage, and transformed to be an urban exhibition hall integrated into the surrounding public space in later stage.

The First Phase

项目位于山东省济宁市，周边多为住宅区及商业办公区，交通便利，配套设施完善，环境优美，地理位置优越。
The project is located in Jining, Shandong Province, occupying a superior geographical location surrounded by residential and commercial office areas with complete transportation and supporting facilities.

设计之源
Origin of the Design

秉承济宁孔孟之乡、运河之都的城市文化，溯源济宁端庄大气、灵动静谧的城市气质，充分利用周边良好的自然环境，运用现代的手法重新阐释传统的地域元素，塑造一个现代、简约、地域性的建筑形态。营造丰富的开放空间，与城市空间关联。
The design of the project focuses on the culture of Jining, the Hometown of Confucius and Mencius, the City of the Grand Canal, and reinterprets traditional regional elements by modern techniques to create a modern and simple architectural form with regional characteristics.

方圆之间
Round and Square

设计以“天圆地方”的关系作为思考起点，“方”是建筑本体，气势宏大而不张扬，外在纯粹，内在精美。“圆”是收纳空间的边界，围合成一个简洁的内向性的圆形水景庭院，营造静谧大气、意境空灵的空间氛围。
The design is based on the relationship between "round sky and square earth" to create a "square" building with a "round" courtyard to achieve a pure and quiet atmosphere.

礼序之轴
Axial Symmetry

延续片区总体城市设计，连接城市脉络，打造开放型的城市链接空间。中轴对称，在轴线的交接处，布置节点广场和主体建筑，形成空间的序列仪式感。
To continue overall design of the area to create an open urban space, the design of the project is axial-symmetric, with the square and main building arranged at the junction of axes.

漂浮之盒
A Floating Box

从城市设计的宏观角度出发，利用场地的街角优势，以长方体作为原型，根据每个功能体块对周边资源的需求，通过抬升、扭转、进退、悬挑，让建筑在城市各个界面都有很好的朝向与昭示性，形成一个极具视觉张力的城市雕塑。
To make full use of street corners and surrounding resources, the build is designed to be a cuboid from the macro perspective of urban design, and realizes good orientation and visibility at all interfaces through lifting, twisting, protruding, retreating and overhanging. It has become an impressive urban sculpture.

麒麟之表
Kylin-Like Exterior

提取当地的麒麟文化精粹，以麒麟鳞片作为设计元素。摒弃多余的装饰性元素，强调立面的纯粹干净及材质本身的质感和韵味。
Local culture is integrated into the design. Other decorative elements are excluded except Kirin scales to emphasize simpleness of the facade and material texture.

空间之融
Integration of space

开放空间-半开放空间-私密空间，形成连续、完整、丰富、细腻的空间序列, 室内、室外、半室外空间相互渗透融合。
Open space, semi-open space and private space are connected to form a continuous, complete and dynamic space, with indoor, outdoor and semi outdoor space integrated.

平台之上
On the Platform

首层架空释放了更多地面空间，与东侧滨水区域相互贯通，同时创造了一个宽广的公共平台。通过室外大台阶引导人们上到观景平台，可以更好的欣赏周边的风景。
The first floor is overhead toreleases more space, and connected with the waterfront area at the east to create a broad viewing platform for the public.

无界之中
Beyond the Bounds

建筑采用框架剪力墙结构，南北悬挑10.3m，中间两个交通核之间跨度18.6m，大跨度的结构实现了室内无柱的空间效果，创造一种流动的、贯通的、隔而不离的整体空间效果。
The building is a frame-shear wall structure, with a north-south overhang of 10.3m and a span of 18.6m between the two traffic cores in the middle. The long-span structure realizes a pillar-less indoor space and creates a broad and through overall space.

宝盒之下
Under the Box

南北两侧的深远悬挑，创造了丰富的半室外活动空间，创造一系列可以遮风避雨的城市公共空间，可以供市民休憩社交，成为广受市民欢迎的目的地。
The far-reaching overhangs on the north and south sides create a semi-outdoor activity space for the public.

用现代的形式语言，克制的形体、空间及材料实现地域性表达，重塑传统、自然、建筑与人之间的关系，成为整个区域的焦点，成为济宁高新区麒麟岛面向公众的第一张名片。
The project realized regional expression with modern formal language, restrained structure, space and materials, and rebuilt the relationship between tradition, nature, architecture and human. It has become a focal point of the region, and the first business card of Kylin Island of Jining High-tech District.
