1999年，山鼎设计（Cendes Design Studio）成立于新加坡。次年，在成都建立了在中国的第一个办公室。 2005年，山鼎设计获得了中国建设部批准的建筑甲级设计资质，成为了为数不多的能在中国开展全程设计业务的“海归”设计公司。

随着公司业务发展，山鼎设计于2015年12月23日登陆深圳证券交易所创业板，成为A 股上市的民营建筑设计公司。“山鼎设计”作为公司名下的设计品牌，已然在建筑设计领域具有广泛的影响力。
